The core barcode scanning library at the heart of RedLaser was created to deal with non-autofocus cameras. It works across all iPhones including the older models. It is available as an SDK for other developers to use.
In addition to our own barcode scanning library, we also run the ZXing library, which is under the Apache 2.0 License. The SDK uses both the RedLaser algorithm and the ZXing library.
